Answer:

8 cm

Explanation:

Average rainfall = rainfall in 1st month + 2nd month + 3rd month/3

According to question:

13+15+x/3=12

28+x/3=12

28+x=36

x=36-28

x=8

Therefore, rainfall in the 3rd month = 8 cm

Answer:

8cm

Explanation:

Average rainfall= 12cm

Let Rainfall for first month be A_{1}      = 13cm

                        Second month= A_{2} =  15cm

                        Third month= A_{3}

Avg Rainfall = A_{1}  + A_{2} + A_{3}  / 3

12= 13+ 15 + A_{3} /3

36= 13+ 15 + A_{3}

A_{3}= 36-13-15

         = 8cm
