In animal cell, Plasma membrane is the barrier between protoplasm and other environment

Explanation:

The plasma membrane is for the animal cell and for the plant cell it is a double wall of plasma membrane and cell wall .Nuclear membrane is used as the boundary between nuclear components and the other cell materials. Tonoplast is used as a barrier of the vacuole. Different membrane are used in different area and named differently. The function of the membrane is to protect cell from their surroundings.
