let the base and the height be 4x and 5x.
area of a triangle=1/2*b*h
                    90=1/2*4x*5x
                    90=2x*5x
                    90=10x^2
                    90/10=x^2
                     9=x^2
                     x=3
base=4x=4*3=12m
height=5x=5*3=15m

Given:

The base and height of a triangle are in the ratio 4:5. The area of the triangle is 90 cm².

To Find:

The measure of the base and height of the triangle.

Solution:

The given problem can be solved using the concepts of triangles.

1. The area of a triangle with base 'b' and height 'h' is calculated by using the formula,

=> Area of the triangle = (0.5)x(base)(height),

=> Area of the triangle = (0.5)x(b)x(h).

2. The ratio of the base and height is 4:5.

=> Let the base and height be 4s and 5s respectively.

=> Area of the triangle = 90 = (0.5)x(b)x(h),

=> 90 = (0.5)x(20s²),

=> 90 = 10s²,

=> s² = 9,

=> s = 3cm.

3. Therefore, the measure of the base and height is,

=> Base = 4s = 4 x 3 = 12cm.

=> height = 5s = 5 x 3 = 15cm.

Therefore, the values of the height and base are 15cm and 12cm respectively.
