.The base and hypotenuse of a right triangle are respectively 5cm
and 13cm long. Its area is

Area of right triangle= 1/2×b×h

Area of right triangle=1/2×5×13

Area of right triangle=65/2=32.5

Answer:

In right ∆ At B,B is a right angle

AC= 13 cm

CB= 5 cm

AB= x

By pythagoras theoram we find AB

AC^2 =AB^2 + CB^2

AB^2= AC^2 - CB^2

x^2 = 13^2 - 5^2

x^2= 169-25

x^2= √144

x= 12cm

Area of right ∆ = 1/2(B)(H)

=> 1/2(12)(5)

=> 1/2(60)

=> 30 cm^ 2
