Hi Mate!!!

Let the base of // gm be b and it's height be h

b = h / 2 .....Given

Area of // gm = b × h = 18

2b² = 18

b = 3 or b = -3

b = -3 will be rejected bcoz length can't be -ive

So, base = 3cm and height = 6cm

sardarni4956: the ratio of the parallel sides of a trapezium is 3:5 and the distance between them is 3cm.if the area of the tripezium is 24 cm find the length of the parallel sides
KnowMore: please post it
Anonymous: Let its side be 3x and 5x...............Area of trapezium = 1/2 { 3x + 5x } 3 = 24. ..... x = 2 So,. length of // sides are 3 ( 2 ) = 6 and 5 ( 2 ) = 10
