Let the base be x
and breadth be y

according to the question,

x=2y

area =512
x×y=512

2y²=512

y²=512/2

y²=256

y=√256

y=±16

since, breadth can't be negative
so, y=16

x=2y

x=32

base=32cm
breadth=16cm

let the base of the parallelogram be y
therefore it's breath should be 2y

area of parallelogram:
b x h
2y x y

=
2 {y}^{2} = 512
 {y}^{2} = 256

y = \sqrt{256}
y = 16cm

breadth = 2y = 32cm
base = y = 16cm
