now.. according to the problem...

$b \times h = 144 \\ = > 2h \times h = 144 \\ = > h {}^{2} = 72 \\ = > h = \sqrt{72} = 6 \sqrt{2} \: cm$

so,

now,

area of llgm = Base * Height

x * 2x = 144

2x² = 144

x² = 72
