Hi ,
According to the problem given,
base of the parallelogram ( b ) = (2x + 3) units
corresponding height ( h ) = ( 2x - 3 ) units
we know that ,
Area of the parallelogram ( A ) = bh square units
A = ( 2x + 3 ) × ( 2x - 3 )
= ( 2x )² - 3²
[ since ( a + b ) ( a - b ) = a² - b² ]
A = ( 4x² - 9 ) square units.----( 1 )
if x = 30 units
then
area of the parallelogram = 4(30)² - 9
A = 3600 - 9
A = 3591 square units.
I hope this helps you.
