Solution :

• Base = 15cm
• Hypotenuse = 25cm
• Perpendicular = ???

By Pythagoras theorem :

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Perpendicular ²

25² = 15² + p²

625 = 225 + p²

625 - 225 = p²

400 = p²

p = √400

p = √2 × 2 × 10 × 10

p = 2 × 10

p = 20 cm

Semi Perimeter :

Semi Perimeter = (a + b + c)/2

= (20 + 15 + 25)/2

= 60/2

= 30cm
