Length of h=x

Length of b=x+4

Where h and b are height and base.

Area =1/2 bh

1/2*x(x+4)=48

x^2+4x=48*2=96

x^2+4x-96=0

x^2+12x-8x-96=0

X(x+12)-8(x+12)=0

(x-8)(12+x)=0

x=8,-12

Since length can't be negative x=8

x+4=12

Hope it helps.
