The base of a triangle is half the base of a parallelogram having the same area as that of the triangle. The ratio of the corresponding heights of the triangle to the parallelogram will be:

Answer:

let height of the || gm and the height of the triangle be h1 & h2 respectively

and , let the base of the ||gm be b.

then, base of the triangle=b/2

A/Q, area of triangle = area of ||gm

=> 1/2 × b/2 ×(h2) = b × (h1)

=> h2/4 = h1

=> h2/h1 = 4/1

hence, h2:h1=4:1 ans....
