the base of a triangular field is two times its altitude if the cost of cultivating the field at rupees 18 per metre square is rupees 216 find the base of the field​

Let altitude be x

then, base is 2x

Now,

Area of triangle-total cost/rupees per metre

=216/18

=12 m^2

Area of triangle-1/2×b×h

=1/2×2x×x = 12

=2x×x=12×2=24

=3x=24

=x=24/3

=x=8

Hence,

altitude=x=8

base=2x=8×2=16
