Given :-

  • Base = 6cm
  • Perimeter = 16cm

To Prove:-

  • Length = ?

Formula :-

  • Perimeter = a + b + c

Solution:-

Let Length be 'x'

Substitute Given data in Formula

 \bigstar \:  \frak{Perimeter = a + b + c} \\  \\  \longmapsto \frak{16 = x + x + 6} \\  \\  \longmapsto \frak{16 = 2x + 6} \\  \\  \longmapsto \frak{16 - 6 = 2x} \\  \\  \longmapsto \frak{10 = 2x}  \\  \\  \longmapsto \frak{x =  \dfrac{10}{2} } \\  \\  \longmapsto \boxed{ \underline{ \frak{ \pink{x = 5cm}}}}

Answer :

  • Length of each equal side is 5 cm.

Explanation :

Given :

  • Base = 6 cm
  • Perimeter = 16 cm

According to the question,

  • It is clear that, both our sides are equal.

Let,

  • Both the unknown sides be 's'

Finding Perimeter :

⟶ Perimeter of a triangle = a + b + c (sum of all three sides)

⟶ 16 = 6 + s + s

⟶ 16 = 6 + 2s

⟶ 2s = 16 - 6

⟶ 2s = 10

⟶ s = 10 / 2

⟶ s = 5

  • The length of each equal side is 5 cm.
