The base of an isosceles triangle is 12cm and its

32 = 12 + 12 + X

32 = 24 + X

32 - 24 = X

8 = X

THEREFORE X = 8

AREA OF TRIANGLE = 1/2 * BASE * HEIGHT

= 1/2 * 12 * 8

= 1/2 * 96

= 48

THEREFORE AREA OF TRIANGLE = 48 CM ²
