the base of an isosceles triangle is 12cm and its perimeter is 32cm find its area

2x+12=32
2x=32-12
x=10


Height using pythagoras theorem
Then it will come 8
In this way


Let x be height
x²=100-36
x²=64
x=8

Area=1/2×base× height
=1/2×12×8
=48 cm ²

a+b+c=32,a+a+12=32,2a=32-12=20,a=20/2=10,area=root s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c),s=a+b+c/2=10+10+12=32/2=16

16(16-10)(16-10)(16-12)],root(16*6*6*4),root(2304)=48cm^2
