Answer:

\displaystyle\huge\red{\underline{\underline{AnSWer}}}

Let. ABC is an isosceles triangle whose base BC=16 cm . draw a perpendicular

AD on BC.

Area of triangle ABC. = 1/2×AD×BC

=1/2×AD×16

=8×AD

8×AD=48=> AD=6 cm

In right angled triangle ADC

AC²= AD²+DC²

AC²=(6)²+(16/2)². => AC²=100. or. AC = 10 cm

Perimeter of triangle ABC =AB+BC+CA=10+16+10 = 36 cms.
