Answer:

Base=4/3 cm

Perimeter=42/15

Perimeter of triangle=S1+S2+S3

Length of the remaining sides=x+x=2x

42/15=x+x+4/3

42/15=2x+4/3

42/15-4/3=2x

42-20/15=2x

22/15=2x

22/15 × 1/2=x

11/15=x

=> Let the length of equal sides be x cm.

Perimeter = x cm + x cm + Base = 4 2/15cm

2x + 4/3 = 62/15

On transposing 4/3 to R.H.S,

we obtain 2x = 62/15 - 4/3

2x = 62 - 4 x 5/15 = 62 - 20/15

2x = 42/15

On dividing both sides by 2,

we obtain

2x/2 = 42/15 x1/2 x = 7/5 ans.
