Let the length of each equal side be x.
Since, perimeter of a ∆ = sum of its all sides
Therefore, from the question we have
x +x +6 cm = 16 cm
x = 5cm.

Hence, the length of each equal side is 5 cm.

as we know that
perimeter is sum of the all sides
so sum of all sides of triangle is 16
6 +b+c =16
6 +b+b=16 (isoscels triangle has two equal sides)
6+2b=16
2b=16-6 =10
b=10/2=5
