length of one of the opposite sides = 20/2 = 10cm
Now as area of a triangle is 1/2 x base x height

Draw a line perpendicular to the base
Now by pythagoras method,
h^2 + 6^2 = 10^2
h^2 + 36 = 100
h^2 = 100-36
h^2 = 64
h = √64
h = 8 cm
Now find the area,
1/2 x 12 x 8 = 48cm^2
