Vyavasthā (व्यवस्था).—lit. definite arrangement; restriction regarding the application of a rule, especially when it seems to overlap, as done by the Varttikakara, and later on by the Paribhasas laid down by grammarians regarding the rules of Panini; cf. स्वाभिधेयापेक्षावधिनियमो व्यवस्था (svābhidheyāpekṣāvadhiniyamo vyavasthā) also लक्ष्यानु-साराह्यवस्था (lakṣyānu-sārāhyavasthā) Par. Sek. Pari. 99, 108.
