HELLO THERE!

The basic gas obtained in the reaction is Ammonia (NH₃).

The two reactant gases are Nitrogen and Hydrogen.

The catalyst is Fe₂O₃.

The reaction is Exothermic.

Reaction:

N₂ + 3H₂ ------> 2NH₃ + Heat

The gas evolved turns moist red litmus blue.

It reacts with water to form NH₄OH (ammonia solution), which is a weak base.

THANKS!
