Given : The bisector of ∠P in ΔPQR intersects QR in D.
according to angle bisector theorem,
QD/DR = PQ/PR

Given, QD/DR = 4 : 7 and PR = 14

so, 4/7 = PQ/14
4/7 × 14 = PQ
PQ = 8

hence, option (a) is correct.
