1st Stanza
A man is asking a poor little blind boy if he knew any thing called as 'Light'. He asks him if he knew what are the blessings of having the sense of sight.
2nd Stanza
The man says him that he talks about wondrous things which he sees everyday. The blind boy could even make out whether it is day or night. And thus he questions him, that how he could know these things without seeing them.
3rd Stanza
The boy replies that he makes his own day and night and think about them while playing or sleeping.
4th Stanza
The boy then mentions that though he is unfortunate, but he could bear his loss with patience.
5th Stanza
At last the boy says that the thing he doesn't have, must not destroy the cheer of his mind. He thinks of himself as a king though he is just a poor blind boy.
