The Mars Orbiter satellite structure is constructed of an aluminium and composite fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) sandwich construction. It is rust-proof and due to the honeycomb configuration, provides very high strength.
To control the temperature of the spacecraft, thermal control system is employed. Heat sinks and pipes are provided to bring the temperature down for the heated subsystem and to maintain the temperature.
