Hey Mate ,
Here is the answer ,
______________________________________________________________
The boiling point ethyl alcohol is higher (780°C) than water (100°C). This shows that it takes a lot of energy (in the form of heat) to get boiled which in turn means that the molecules of ethyl alcohol are strongly bonded with each other i.e. the inter particle force of attraction is high.

more energy means more force of attraction because if more energy is required to break the bond between molecules then it means the interparticle force of attraction is higher in that substance and according to this question alcohol have more force of attraction than water. hope u get it
