This poem shows a normal summer’s day.

Just a day with the water and the sun, in a stress-free enviroment.

I think this poem is really nice and shows strong connections of a Dad and his son.

Overall I think this poem about how a son and his father enjoy a nice summer’s day fishingWith the clicking reel like a martial song

I think that part of the poem means that the reeling of the fishing stick makes a continues sound, that is why he makes a connection of the fishing rod and martial arts.

And the greatest mind of the human race.

Not for one minute could take his place.

I assume this part of the poem means that the son is having a good time with his dad and not a second goes by when they are fishing that he could go out into thinking about something else because he is so caught up in fishing with his dad.

Which is happier, man or boy?.When they say man I am assuming they mean the dad, and when they say boy I am assuming they mean the son. I think the author put this line in the poem because it shows how happy that they Dad and the son are fishing together. That they are both so great-fully and equally happy that you can’t even tell which one of the two is happier.

The soul of the rather is steeped in joy,

For he’s finding out, to his heart’s delight,

The father is so deep in joy when he finds out his son is so delighted/happy about the fishing day that they are doing.

That his son is fit for the future fight.

He is learning the glorious depths of him,

From that part of the poem, I am assuming the boy and his dad are hunters. Because most people don’t go fishing, they just go to the store and buy the food. I am thinking that the dad is teaching his son to fight against survival when the Dad turns old and can’t help the son anymore.

When I learned life’s truths from my father’s lips

As I shared the joy of his fishing-trips.Since fishing takes a long time because fishes underwater just like to stare at the hook for like hours,

The father and his son probably had a talk about many things that involved the truth of life. And in the end,

The son became a father and spread his joy of fishing with his son.
