Answer :-

There are 350 and 200 boys and girls in the school.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Ratio of boys and girls - 7:4
  • Total no. of students - 550

To find :

  • The number of boys and girls

Solution :

Let the no. of boys be '7x'

& the no. of girls be '4x'

According to question,

=> 7x + 4x = 550

=> 11x = 550

=> x = 550/11

=> x = 50

.°. The value of x is 50.

Hence,

The number of boys => 7 × 50 = 350

The number of girls => 4 × 50 = 200

Answer:

I hope you understand clearly.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

the nos. of boys = 7x

the nos. of girls = 4x

As the question,

7x + 4x. = 550

11x. = 550

so, x. = 550/11

= 50

Therefore, the no. of boys = 7x50 =350

and the nos of girls = 4x50 = 200.
