The brakes applied to a car produces an acceleration of 6 m/s2 in the opposite direction to the motion. if the car takes 2 seconds to stop after applying brakes, calculate distance it travels during this time

Aceeleration- 6m/sec square

initial velocity- 0m/s

time- 2sec.

2nd equation of motion

s= ut + 1/2at square

s= 0×2+1/2×6×2

=1/2 × 12

= 6 meter
