Find the distance for one round:

2 rounds = 3km

1 round = 3 ÷ 2 = 1.5 km

Define x:

Let the width be x

The length will be 2x

Find the width:

Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth)

2 ( x + 2x) = 1.5 km

2(3x) = 1.5 km

6x = 1.5 km

x = 1.5 ÷ 6 = 0.25 km

Answer: The park is 0.25 km wide.
