primeter = 52cm

breadth = l / 3 + 2

length = l

now, perimeter = 2(l+b)

52cm = 2( l + l + 6)

                           3

52cm / 2 = 4l + 6

                        3

26 x 3 = 4l + 6

78 - 6 = 4l

72 / 4 = l

18 = l

so, length = 18 cm

breadth = 18 / 3 +2 = 6 + 2 = 8cm

hope it helps.

Let the length be a

Width = a/3 + 2

Width = (a+6) / 3

Perimeter = 52 cm

=> 2 [ a +(a+6)/3] = 52

=> 2 [ (3a +a +6) / 3] = 52

=> (4a +6)/ 3 = 26

=> 4a +6 = 78

=> 4a = 72

=> a = 18

Length = 18 cm

Width = 8 cm
