breadth=x
length=x+8
perimeter of rectangle=2 (l+b)
60=2 (x+x+8)
60=2(2x+8)
60=4x+16
60-16=4x
44=4x
44÷4=x
11=x
length=x+8=11+8=19
breadth=x=11

Hey...
Let the length be x cm and breadth be (x-8) cm.
Perimeter = 60cm
So, 2{x+(x-8)} = 60
2(2x-8) = 60
4x-16 = 60
4x = 76
x = 19
Length = 19 cm
Breadth = 19-8 = 11 cm
Hope this would help you.
