=============================

let do this in a simple method

=>perimeter of rectangle = 2[l+b]

2 *l +2*b

=>2l +2b

now the breadth is increased by 2 units

=>new perimeter = 2[l +2+b]

=>now lets mutiply it

=>(2*l)+(2*2)+(2*b)

=>2l +4 +2b

old perimeter was 2l +2b

whereas new perimeter is 2l +4 +2b (or) 2l +2b +4

increase in new perimeter = new perimeter - old perimeter

                                            = (2l+2b  +4) - (2l +2b)

                                              = 4 units

hope it helps u..................
