Answer:

Length = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

Breadth = X

Length = 1/4 X

2 (1/4X + X) =80

1/4X + X = 40

1/4X + 4/4X = 40

5/4X = 40

X = 40×4/5

X = 32

Breadth = X = 32

Length = 1/4X = 1/4 × 32=8

Answer :-

The Length of the Rectangle is 8 meters.

Explanation :-

Given :

Breadth of the Rectangle = one fourth of it's length.

Perimeter of Rectangle = 80 meters

To find :

The measure of the Length

Solution :

Consider the Length as x

Breadth = 1/4 x

Perimeter of Rectangle =

→ 2(Length + Breadth)

⟹ 2(¼x + x) = 80

⟹ ½x + 2x = 80 LCM = 2

⟹ 5x/2 = 80

⟹ 5x = 80 × 2

⟹ 5x = 160

⟹ x = 160/5

⟹ x = 32

Breadth = 32 meters

Value of ¼x

⟹ 1/4 × 32

⟹ 8

Length = 8 meters

⛬ The Length of the Rectangle is 8 meters.

Verification :-

⟹ 2(Length + Breadth)

⟹ 2(8 + 32) = 80

⟹ 16 + 64 = 80

⟹ 80 = 80

The Length of the Rectangle is 8 meters.
