Cost of fencing the rectangular field with length 23.27 m and breadth 46.54 m is Rs. 4886.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Area of the field = 1083 m²

Breadth = 2 x Length ⇒ b = 2l

Cost of fencing = 35 per metre

Area of a rectangle = length x breadth

  1083     =  l x b

   1083    = l x 2l = 2l²

\text{l}^{2} =  \frac{1083}{2} \\

      = 541.5

   l   = √541.5 = 23.27 m

∴ b = 2l = 2 x 23.27 = 46.54 m

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

                                          = 2 (23.27 + 46.54) = 2 x 69.81 = 139.62 m

∴ Cost of fencing = 35 x 139.62 = Rs. 4,886.7
