While climbing up fast the rope is most likely to break.

  • When climbing up fastly the total force exerted on the rope comes out to be  T_{a}= mg +ma  which will be more than all the other cases mentioned hence the rope is likely to break in this situation as the breaking load of the rope is only half of the weight of the climber and the total force exerted on the rope will be far greater than the breaking load of the rope.
