Answer :

➥ The dimensions of a rectangle = 34.62 m and 15.38 m

Given :

➤ Breath of a rectangle = 4/9 m

➤ Perimeter of a rectangle = 100 m

To Find :

➤ Dimensions of a rectangle = ?

Solution :

Let ,

The length of a rectangle be x m and the breadth be 4x/9.

As we know that

 \tt{: \implies Perimeter = 2(l + b)}

 \tt{: \implies 100 = 2 \left(x + \dfrac{4x}{9}  \right)}

 \tt{: \implies  \dfrac{ \cancel{100}}{ \cancel{2}} =  \dfrac{x + 4x}{9} }

 \tt{: \implies 50 =  \dfrac{9x + 4x}{9} }

 \tt{: \implies 13x = 450}

 \tt{: \implies x =   \cancel{\dfrac{450}{13}}}

 \bf{: \implies \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \green{ \:  \:  x = 34.62 \: m \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

So ,

\tt{:\implies Length = x = 34.62 m}

\bf{: \implies \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \purple{ \:  \:  Length = 34.62 \: m \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

\tt{:\implies Breadth =  \dfrac{4x}{9}}

\tt{:\implies Breadth =  \dfrac{4 \times 34.62}{9} }

\tt{:\implies Breadth =   \cancel{\dfrac{138.48}{9}} }

\bf{: \implies \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \purple{ \:  \: Breadth = 15.38 \: m \: \: }} \:  \: }}

Hence, the dimensions of a rectangle is 34.62 m and 15.38 m.

Question:-

The breadth of a rectangle is 4/9 of its length if the perimeter is 100m find its dimensions

Formula Used:-

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

Answer:-

Let the length of the rectangle be x metres

Then the breadth will be 4x/9 metres

Given: Perimeter = 100m

=> 2(Length + Breadth) = 100

=> 2(x + 4x/9) = 100

=> x + 4x/9 = 100/2 = 50

=> (9x + 4x)/9 = 50

=> 13x = 450

=> x = 450/13

=> x = 34.62 m

So, Length = x metres = 34.62 m

Breadth = 4x/9 metres = (4 * 34.62)/9 m = 15.39 m

Ans. Length = 34.62 m and Breadth = 15.39 m
