Because in battle of Plassey , this battle was between Nawab Sirajudayalah and British. But one of the Sirajudayalah's rivals named Mir jafar was a head of the soldiers cheat with siraj and help British with his soldiers and not fought the war in from the side of Nawab due to that Sirajudayalah lose the war.
