The British Government passed some of the laws to ensure better governance which was not being followed by the company officers who turned to be the administrators in India.’Do you agree with the laws such as Pitt’s India Act and Charter Act deprived the East India Company by its powers it was enjoying in the country?​

Yes.

The British Government was planning to take over India from the start. The  enforcing of unfair laws such as Pitts act and several others slowly stripped all the existing powers of the Indian Monarchs and they took over the entire country using this method.
