it may be due to lose connections of wires
may be the bulb is fuse
electricity supply may be not there
may be the bulb is fuse

This might be because the current may not be passing through the circuit i.e. the circuit is not completed.

draw a circuit with a battery. show the + and - charges.Then connect a bulb. after this complete the circuit.
The current will flow from + to - , when the circuit is completed.Thus, resulting in the glowing of bulb.
