 height of the cylinder =1m

capacity of the cylinder=volume of the cylinder=15.4 litres

 =15400 cubic cm

 =0.0154 m sq.

  so,r2h=0.0154 m sq.

 22/7*r2*1=0.0154

  r2=0.0154*7/22

  r2=0.0049

  r=0.07

so the total surface area =2rh+2r2

  =2r(r+h)

  =2*22/7*0.07(0.07+1)

  =0.44*1.07

  =0.4708 m sq.

Height of cylinder = 1m = 100 cm

Volume of cylinder = 15.4 liters

= 15400 cm^3

=> pi *r^2 *h = 15400

=> 22*100 * r^2 /7 = 15400

=> r^2 = 15400 * 7 / 2200

=> r ^2 = 7 * 7

=> Radius of cylinder = 7 cm

Since it is a tank , So it's upper part is opened

Metal sheet Required to make the tank = CSA of cylinder + Area of base

=> 2*pi *r*h + pi *r ^2

=> 2 * 22 *7 * 100 / 7 + 22*7 * 7/7

=> 4400 + 154

=> 4554 cm^2
