Given :-

  • The capacity of a cuboidal tank is 450000 litres of water. If its breadth is 5m and height is 3m.

To find :-

  • Length of cuboidal tank

Solution :-

As we know that

→ Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Where " l " is length, " b " is breadth and " h " is height of cuboid.

  • 1 liter = 1000m³

According to question

  • Capacity of a cuboidal tank = 450000
  • Volume of cuboidal tank = 450000/1000 = 450 m³
  • Breadth of cuboidal tank = 5m
  • Height of cuboidal tank = 3m

→ Volume of cuboidal tank = 450m³

→ l × b × h = 450

→ l × 5 × 3 = 450

→ l × 15 = 450

→ l = 450/15

→ l = 30m

Hence,

  • Length of cuboidal tank is 30m

QUESTION :

The capacity of a cuboidal tank is 4,50,000 liters of water. Find the length of the tank, whose Breadth is 5m and height is 3m.

GIVEN :

  • The capacity of a cuboidal tank = 4,50,000 l
  • Breath of the cuboidal tank= 5m
  • Height of the cuboidal tank = 3m

TO FIND :

  • Length of the cuboidal tank = ?

STEP -BY-STEP EXPLAINATION :

Now, as per the given values here :

➠ The capacity =4,50,000 l

➠ Breath of the cuboidal tank= 5m

        and

➠ Height of the cuboidal tank = 3m

So, now we will have to find 1 litres contains how much ??

  • 1Litre = 1000m³

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Now, as per the provided question we will have to find here length of the cuboidal tank :

( First we will have to find here volume of the cuboidal tank )

⟼ \frac{450000}{1000}  =  {450m}^{3}

Therefore, volume of the cuboidal tank = 450m³

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

(solving here as per the question) :

  • Considering here length as 'x'

⟹ length × Breadth × Height

[ Substituting here the values as per the given formula ]

⟹ Length × 5 × 3

⟹ Length × 15 = 450

⟹ \: ʟᴇɴɢᴛʜ \: = \frac{450}{15} = 30

⟹ Length = 30m

Hence, we got here the value of 'Length' as 30m
