the capacity of cylinderical tank
= 246.4litre

convert litre to m^3

since , we know that 1 litre = 0.001 m^3

246.4 litre =246.4 × 0.001 =0.2464 m^3

and also given that height of cylinderical tank (h)=4m

capacity of cylinderical tank(in l ) means volume of cylinderical tank.
_______________________________
since we know that

volume of cylinder = π r^2 h

according to question,

volume of cylinderical tank = 0.2464 m^3

π r^2 h = 0.2464

π r^2 × 4 = 0.2464

π r^2 =0. 2464 / 4

π r^2 = 0.0616

r^2 = 0.0616 × 7 / 22

r^2 = 0.0196

r = 0.14 m

radius of the base of given cylinder(r)

=0.14 m

since,

we know that diameter of the base of a cylinder = 2r

therefore ,

diameter of the base of a cylinderical tank = 2r= 2 × 0.14 =0.28 m

Answer : diameter =0.28 m

Capacity = 246.4 litres

Convert litres to m³

246.4 litres = 0.2464 m³

Find the radius:

Volume = πr²h

0.2464 =  πr²(4)

r² = 0.2464 ÷ 4π

r² = 0.0196

r = √0.0.196

r = 0.14

Find diameter:

Diameter = Radius x 2

Diameter = 0.14 x 2 = 0.28 m

Answer: The diameter is 0.28 m
