If 3/5 is empty therefore it is 2/5 full.

That is 700 x 2 / 5 = 280 L

Total capacity = 700 liters (given)

Find the fraction of the water in the tank:

1 - 3/5 = 2/5

Find the amount of water in the tank:

2/5 x 700 = 280 liters

Answer: There is 280 litres in the tank.
