intial velocity = 0 m/s
final velocity = 36km/h = 36000/3600 = 10m/s
time = 10sec
by applying Ist equation of motion
            v=u+at
        10=0+a*10
     10/10 =a
 acceleration is 1m/s²

Acceleration = 1 m/

Explanation:

Given:

  • A car starts from rest (u) = 0 m/s.
  • Car attained a speed of 36 km (v) = 36 km/h
  • Time (t) taken by car = 10 seconds.

To Find:

  • What is the acceleration (a) of car ?

Formula to be used:

  • First law of motion
  • v = u + at

Solution: Changing 36 km/h in m/s. For this multiply 36 by 5/18

➯ ( 36 \times 5/18 ) m/s

➯ ( 2 \times 5 ) m/s

➯ 10 m/s ( v = Final Velocity )

Putting the values on formula

\implies{\rm } v = u + at

\implies{\rm } 10 = 0 + a \times 10

\implies{\rm } 10 = 10a

\implies{\rm } 10/10 = a

\implies{\rm } 1 m/ = a

Hence, the acceleration of the car is 1 m/s².
