The carbon cycle ensures constant availability of Carbon(iv) oxide.

Carbon(iv) oxide is very important since it plays a major role in the energy balance on the planet.

Carbon (iv) oxide acts as a blanket on the planet by trapping long wave radiation.

These long wave radiations would otherwise radiate heat away from the earth.

Carbon also combine with other elements and dissolve in water hence facilitating transportation of minerals.

Answer:

The carbon cycle ensures that the carbon is not lost in the world.

The other benefit of this cycle is that it helps to control the temperature of our earth.

Carbon in the form of carbon dioxide forms the part of the ozone layer that restricts various ultraviolet rays from the sun to come inside the earth’s atmosphere.
