The cell having nuclear material without a nuclear membrane is prokaryotic.

  • Cells are found in all organisms whether they are unicellular or multicellular and life is started from a single cell.
  • In organisms, two types of cells are found prokaryotic and eukaryotic. a eukaryotic cell is found in protists, fungi, plants and animals whereas a prokaryotic cell is found in kingdom monera.
  • In a prokaryotic cell, the nucleus is lacking nuclear membrane so, the contents of the nucleus which is genetic material are not distinct and are found in the cytoplasm.
  • Eukaryotic cells have membrane-bound nuclei and cell organelles and the genetic material is present in the nucleus where transcription occurs.
