i) Due to its central location at the head of the Indian ocean, countries of East Africa , West Asia, South and south east Asia could be reached through the sea routes.
ii) India is connected to Europe, South America and north Africa by two routes: Cape of good hope and the suez canal.
iii) India can also easily reach Canada and USA through strait of malacca by crossing Pacific ocean.
