The Central location of India at the head of the Indian Ocean is considered of great significance.why?

i) Due to its central location at the head of the Indian ocean, countries of East Africa , West Asia, South and south east Asia could be reached through the sea routes.
ii) India is connected to Europe, South America and north Africa by two routes: Cape of good hope and the suez canal.
iii) India can also easily reach Canada and USA through strait of malacca by crossing Pacific ocean.
