The central nervous system comprises of brain and spinal cord which gathers information from all over the body as well as from the external environment and coordinate the activity. These organs contain virtually all of the associative neurons, and are responsible for processing sensory information and initiating motor impulses, regulation of overall body function and higher thought processes.
