Answer:

Diameter of circle = 20 units

∴ Radius of circle = 10 units

Point A = (2k -1, 7) =  (x₁,y₁)

Point B = (-3,-1) = (x₂,y₂)

∴ Distance b/w Point A and B = Radius

= √((x₂ - x₁)²+(y₂ -y₁)²) = 10

= (x₂ - x₁)²+(y₂ -y₁)² = 100

= (-3 - 2k + 1)² +(-1 -7)² = 100

= (-2k - 2)² = (2k + 2)² = 36 = 6²

∴ 2k + 2 = ± 6

1) When 2k + 2 = 6

K = 2

2) When 2k + 2 = -6

K = -4

∴ Values of k = -4 , 2
