The centre of a circle is ( x + 2 , x - 1 ) . Find x if the circle passes through ( 2 , -2 ) and ( 8 , -2 ) .

Distance formula,

 \sqrt{ {(x - x1)}^{2}  +  {(y - y1)}^{2} }  =  \: XY

Where (x, y) is the coordinate of Xand (x1, y1) is the coordinates of Y. And XY is the line segment.

Coordinates of the centre O is (x+2,x-1)=(3+2,3-1)=(5,2).
